Archive of filmographic works of the Discriminating Gentlemen’s Club, an artist collective in the form of a private order. Honoring the Club’s tradition of secrecy and non-disclosure, the Archive appears empty to the uninitiated, but reveals its contents once the appropriate ritual is performed and the hidden drawer is unlocked. A bound book hides two DVDs in cavities that have been die cut into its pages. A carbon-copied contract dictates the conditions of ownership of one of the thirty limited edition Archives.
Archive des œuvres filmographiques du Club des gentilshommes avertis, un collectif artistique établi comme ordre privé. Fidèle à la tradition de grande discrétion du Club, l’Archive se présente comme étant vide lorsqu’on l’aborde de face en ouvrant son tiroir. Ce n’est qu’après avoir compris le rituel que son vrai contenu se révèle, à l’intérieur du tiroir secret.
